I'm eager for collaborations, internships, and research visits abroad.
Let's connect and explore opportunities together!
Presenting my research at CHI'25 in Yokohama, Japan
I am a UX researcher and designer with an interdisciplinary background across Human-Computer Interaction, UX design, and marketing. I combine academic rigor with applied industry experience, having led 30+ user studies.. My work integrates qualitative and quantitative methods, from interviews, participatory workshops, and to Bayesian optimization, field studies, and statistical modeling, to optimize and evaluate user-centered interfaces.
Having worked in agile, cross-functional environments in both industry and research, I specialize in bridging user insight, design, and business strategy. At Carl Zeiss AG, I collaborated with algorithm engineers, patent lawyers, and developers to design a patented mobile diagnostic app, regularly communicating outcomes to stakeholders within SCRUM cycles. At AUDI AG, I worked with external creative agencies and event teams to align digital and social media campaigns with the national brand strategy. In research, I have collaborated with international labs in the US, South Korea, and Switzerland and supervised 20+ young researchers from conception through publication.
I am used to translating insights across different teams and expertise levels, and I care about turning research into products that are more inclusive, more intuitive, and actually useful.

I am going to defend my PhD at the University of Ulm at the end of April.
I officially submitted my dissertation, titled Special Information Needs in Emerging Automated Transportation Systems
Honoured to be one of the 200 young researchers selected for the 12th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, which brings together computer scientists and mathematicians for one week.
Following CHI, I was invited to present my research at the User Interface Research Group at the University of Tokyo.
What an amazing expierence to give my three research talks at CHI '25, the leading conference for Human-Computer Interaction: «Scrolling in the Deep», «Light My Way», «Fly Away»
I secured funding from the DFG (German Research Foundation) together with Prof. Rukzio for our lab to continue work on digital wellbeing during infinite scrolling
I revisited my master's university and pre-present my three(!) first-author CHI papers. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new people in the German HCI community.
For two months I joined the HCI Lab at Santa Clara University, led by Prof. Kai Lukoff, to work with him and his PhDs on research on digital well-being.
I have presented my full paper, «Hey What's Going On?», at Ubicomp 2024 in Melbourne—a top-tier, highly technical conference uniting experts in ubiquitous computing.
I was very happy to be invited again by Prof. Johannes Schöning to an inspiring CHI paper writing session at HSG, full of collaborative ideas and great company
Together with other international PhD-students, I learn about new methods in HCI research
At Ubicomp 2023 I held my very first full paper presentation about our IMWUT paper «Come Fly With Me»
I presented our VR demo about different Weather Conditions for future Urban Air Mobility and organized a workshop on UX in Urban Air Mobility.
Invited for a 3 week CHI paper writing session at the University of St. Gallen, I spent an intense month collaborating on papers with fellow researchers
Together with other international fellow researchers in the area of well-being, I attended the Summer School «Spaces and Interfaces» hosted by Prof. Johannes Schöning
At my first international conference, I met many international researchers and had engaging discussions during my two poster sessions on «EyesOnMe» (based on my Master's thesis) and «Up, Up and Away»
I joined the German Pre-CHI to connect with German HCI researchers and to practice presenting my two posters: «EyesOnMe» and «Up, Up and Away»
